Talsmand for moske: Sharon laver buding af blod fra palistinænsiske børn

The spokesman for Örebro mosque wrote that the late Ariel Sharon used Palestinian children's blood to make pudding. The spokesman wrote the claim on his Facebook page and has now deleted it, reports local newspaper Nerikes Allehanda (NA).

This story of Israelis killing children and draining their blood is almost identical to the antisemitic "blood libel" myths that some Christians have spread about Jews for most of the past 800 years.

The Mosque spokesman says to NA that the blood pudding story is something that he was told, and that he possibly expressed himself poorly, "I don't know whether I believe that Sharon drank blood or not... My point is that he is responsible for many massacres."
To Swedish TV the spokesman says he can understand if people react to his claim, but that he did not write about Jews in gernal, just about someone in particular. "I got very emotional when Sharon was praised by Sweden's foreign minister. It's not a good idea to write anything when you're upset... It was unprofessional."
The late Israeli Prime Minister Sharon had been criticised by the UN, the US Department of State and the Israeli government's Kahan Commission, among others, for his links to the killing of civilians.
